I have worked with many threads and yarns in my life so far on a professional level and in private. I came across threads and yarns the went straight in the bin to thread that I started to appreciate and to collect.
This post is a work in progress and and it started in January when I started to think about threads that I love and threads that I stay away from! Today I want to share with you my top ten threads to work with. These brands, are perfect for lace makers, crochet lovers, knitters, tatting friends and so much more….
The main reason for creating this top ten was to show people who love to create Romanian Point Lace that there are many brands that you can try out to create wonderful lace.
I want to thank those brands who supplied me with gorgeous threads and yarns for me to test! Thank you very much it, was a pleasure, to work with all of you and to introduce your products to the followers, and new readers who are interested to learn something new.
When it comes to shipping it;s never easy to pack yarn! It;s round, bulky, soft, and delicate! First all all you need to think that it has to reach intact and that the receiver, still has fun opening that parcel! So be gentile, and be fun!
Make sure that you pack it with great care and do not damage the yarn. We all know it;s not easy and that the post office is not always handling every parcel with care. I have received sometimes parcels that looked like it came out of the dumpster!

I like to wrap the yarn airtight in zipper bags or in cling wrap. That way the yarn stays protected and you can ship it better. I usually post my yarn in a secure envelope, a bubble envelope to bounce off any kind of weight that might be placed on top of the parcel.
Of course you can package also in a box. But I found out that placing the yarn in a box, it;s not very economical.

I discovered a fabulous brand here in Australia -Bendigo Woollen Mills. It;s a stunning place! I always wanted to try the yarn they offer and now is the right time to introduce it on my blog.
I love to work with organic, natural and stunning yarn. I believe that Bendigo Woollen Mills hits all categories!
Since stripes are so IN in 2017 I decided to create a simple but effective designs, using Bendigo Woollen Mills yarn.
What I love the most about this brand is , that the quality is very close to perfection! The colours are divine and easy to work with plain and in combination. Since winter is coming these wool yarns are fabulous! A clean thread that has a great slide on the crochet hook as well as on the knitting needles. It is also very comfortable on the sewing needle, while creating bullions.
I heard only good reviews about Bendigo Woollen Mills but never got the chance to introduce it into my work! It was about time to let you all know what fabulous product it is!
